Relegation
As a player-focused league, we're proud to offer divisions that cater to all skill levels. Our goal is to give adults in South Central Alaska a way to play soccer year round in a safe, fun, and competitive environment. To this end, Soccer Alaska embraces the philosophy of Relegation. The concept is fair play for everyone.
Team Relegation
After each season, Soccer Alaska will move the top teams from each division up one division, and the lower teams down one division, based on the standings.
Individual Relegation
Relegation will also be applied to individual players. Soccer Alaska keeps track of players and the feedback we receive. If a player has been deemed to have a skill level above a certain division's threshold and has exhibited the inability to play down to match the division they are currently playing in, Soccer Alaska may limit that player's ability to play in lower divisions.
Administration
Soccer Alaska retains the ability to move teams and/or players between divisions, both prior to the start of a season or during the season if, in the League’s sole discretion, it is deemed a team and/or players should be registered in a higher or lower division. Relegation decisions are not appealable. Soccer Alaska will reassess relegation decisions annually.
